The Patient Financial Advocates are patient facing. This position generates revenue by handling high volumes of patient calls and providing telephonic customer service with basic knowledge of all areas of Revenue Cycle.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support with billing, patient payments, patient inquires
  • Processing assistance applications
  • Helping get insurance coverage and resolving patient issues
  • Help patients apply for Medicaid and special Medicaid programs. The team processed over 700 Medicaid applications last month, 755 financial assistance applications and collected approx. $127,000

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of Patient Financial Advocate related experience, including data entry and medical billing
  • 1+ years of experience explaining patient liability amounts (deductible, co-pay, co-insurance)
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm; It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
