As a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison with CPS Solutions, LLC, you will support specialty pharmacy operations through accurate prescription processing, medication dispensing, and coordination of pharmacy services within the health system's specialty pharmacy. You will help ensure timely medication access, support patients throughout the medication fulfillment process, and facilitate communication between patients, providers, and the pharmacy. The liaison works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Pharmacy Location: Located onsite within Owensboro Health Specialty Pharmacy in Owensboro, KY
Schedule: Monday through Friday, either 8:00am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems
- Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
- Process and coordinate specialty medication prescriptions, often for complex or chronic conditions
- Manage prior authorizations and insurance requirements, working closely with payers and providers
- Coordinate patient onboarding and refills, ensuring adherence to therapy schedules
- Handle medication distribution logistics, including cold-chain management and direct-to-patient shipping
- Maintain detailed documentation and reporting, meeting REMS, FDA, and manufacturer program requirements
- Provide high-touch patient support, addressing non-clinical questions and navigating access barriers
- Ensure compliance with specialty pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and quality metrics
- Potential to expand responsibilities beyond dispensing through cross-training in clinical support activities, including medication access services, patient onboarding, adherence programs, and coordination with clinical staff

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy technician license in good standing in the state of KY
- Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in retail, specialty, or outpatient settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmacy dispensing, including prescription preparation, verification support, inventory management, and workflow coordination
- Proficiency in pharmacy systems, care management platforms, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
