The Account Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management and strategic oversight of employer accounts. Acting as the primary point of contact, this role represents the company in cultivating strong, consultative relationships with employers and brokers/producers. The Account Manager leads cross-functional teams to deliver seamless service, drive retention, and ensure the effective execution of client strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to key client contacts, fostering strong partnerships and acting as the primary liaison to address client needs and priorities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement tailored strategies to meet employer objectives, optimize service delivery, and align with corporate goals
- Membership Growth and Retention: Drive membership growth within existing accounts by identifying opportunities to improve penetration, while ensuring high client satisfaction and loyalty
- Collaboration and Leadership: Lead internal teams and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure efficient systems and processes are in place to meet client and organizational objectives
- Broker/Carrier Engagement: Build and maintain productive relationships with brokers and carrier, ensuring alignment in meeting client needs and achieving business goals
- Policy and Strategy Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of policies and initiatives that enhance the account management function and support broader corporate objectives
- Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of mid-sized to large clients, ensuring each receives personalized attention and strategic recommendations to meet their specific goals
- 25% _mplementing new client launches including carrier/TPA involvement, developing appropriate communications campaign, conducting open enrollment meetings and communicating client specific programs internally
- 25% Routine service which includes the development and execution of service schedule, reporting and coordinating questions/initiatives with the client and carrier/TPA. Functions as department liaison to company internal teams to ensure smooth coordination of service deliverables
- 20% Collaborates with cross functional teams such as sales, marketing, underwriting, product and operations to grow or retain business, develops strategic working relationships with consultants/brokers and facilitates achievement of enrollment/retention goals
- 20% Collects and analyzes relevant data to prepare, implement and monitor growth and renewal plan for assigned accounts. Monitors plan performance through utilization of claims and other control reports. Reviews internal and external audit results and performance standards to ensure that service objectives are met
- 10% Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and relevant work experience
- 3+ years of managed care experience, including knowledge of insurance products/employee benefits
- Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to travel throughout metropolitan Houston. Valid General Lines Agent: Life, Accident, Health and HMO - State of TX; must have or obtain within 6 months of startdate
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills including preparation and execution
- Proven above average verbal, written and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment; multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines. High level of organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and to meet time sensitive deadlines
- Proven solid project management and demonstrated problem-solving ability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Health plan experience preferably in account or project management
- Experience interpreting contract terms and financial arrangements including capitation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
