The Cash Operations Manager is responsible for the management of cash posting, reconciliation, and cash control operations across multiple clients within the Payment Management Center of Excellence (COE). This role facilitates daily operations across all cash management functions, including coordination with internal departments (AR, IT, Finance) and external stakeholders (clients, payers, vendors, and banking partners).


This position leads large-scale automation, globalization, and system implementation initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence standards. The manager is accountable for overseeing service delivery, coaching and developing team members, and driving performance outcomes tied to quality, accuracy, and timeliness of cash application and reconciliation activities.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cash operations, including payment posting, reconciliation, suspense management, and cash research, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established controls
  • Drives accountability to achieve and exceed service level agreements (SLAs), quality benchmarks, and productivity targets
  • Leads automation, system implementation, and process transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational performance
  • Partners with global teams to support workload balancing, standardization, and globalization strategies
  • Proactively identifies operational risks, service level degradation, and implements corrective action plans
  • Develops and implements strategies to optimize cash workflow, improve reconciliation accuracy, and reduce aged AR impacts
  • Establishes and maintains solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, payers, banks, and vendors
  • Participates in client meetings, performance reviews, and issue resolution discussions impacting cash operations
  • Drives client satisfaction and supports initiatives to improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) outcomes
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial integrity standards
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, consistent feedback, and accountability to performance expectations
  • Fosters a culture of communication, engagement, and continuous improvement through regular team interactions, transparent information sharing, and action planning based on feedback and engagement insights

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of leadership and/or mentorship
  • 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, including cash posting, reconciliation, and cash controls. (Accounts Receivable/cash applications)
  • 3+ years of process improvement, automation, or system implementation experience
  • Experience working with complex RCM systems (e.g., Epic, MS4, Invision, Cerner, Star, IDX  or similar platforms)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of banking, finance, or treasury-related experience
  • Experience working in multi-client, shared services, or COE environments
  • Deep understanding of cash posting, reconciliation, suspense management, and EDI/835 transactions
  • Proven solid leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale operational and technical change initiatives
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple competing initiatives
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore/global teams


Travel:

  • Minimal travel may be required

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
