The Clinical Program Manager provides operational, administrative, and program management support for the Rx Clinical Insights team and Optum Health national pharmacy committees, including Value & Therapeutics (V&T), ID/VAC, and Pipeline Review committees. This role is responsible for managing topic intake and prioritization processes, coordinating committee activities, maintaining clinical content and collateral, administering document control and version management processes, and supporting execution of clinical and affordability initiatives. The position serves as a key operational resource to improve governance, scalability, information management, and efficiency across the Clinical Insights portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform document management for clinical collateral and policies, including obtaining approvals, ensuring materials are current, organized, and easily retrievable
  • Manage clinical topic intake processes to support prioritization and execution of pharmacy affordability and clinical review initiatives
  • Support development, maintenance, and dissemination of playbooks, operating procedures, guidelines, and governance documentation
  • Provide organizational and administrative support to the Rx Clinical Insights team and leadership as assigned
  • Coordinate V&T workplan activities, including meeting planning, agenda management, action item tracking, and committee and subcommittee logistics
  • Manage clinical content repositories and collateral housed within approved enterprise platforms, including document organization, version control, archival processes, and dissemination
  • Establish and maintain document control standards to ensure consistent storage, retrieval, governance, and lifecycle management of clinical reviews, voting statements, academic detailing materials, policies, and other committee resources
  • Maintain and enhance trackers and workflow management tools supporting V&T, pipeline, ID/VAC, and ad hoc clinical review activities to improve transparency, throughput, and reporting
  • Support preparation and distribution of committee materials, meeting documentation, decision summaries, and stakeholder communications
  • Monitor workflow progress and coordinate across clinical pharmacists, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables and committee readiness
  • Generate routine operational reports and dashboards to support visibility into review volume, committee activities, content status, and program performance indicators
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, standardization, operational efficiency, and scalability across Clinical Insights programs
  • Support audits, leadership requests, regulatory inquiries, and other information retrieval requests through effective records management and documentation practices
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, clinical program management, pharmacy administration, managed care, project coordination, or healthcare program support
  • Experience supporting cross-functional committees, governance structures, or operational programs within healthcare or managed care environments
  • Experience managing complex documentation, version control processes, content repositories, and administrative workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage competing priorities

Preferred Qualification:  

  • Experience supporting Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees, clinical review processes, healthcare affordability initiatives, or pharmacy operations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
