This performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures. Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other important training is a condition of employment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures
- Prepares a clear, accurate preliminary report in both verbal and written format for radiologist and/or other medical providers
- Documents medical history related to the exam being performed and completes daily computer work
- Maintains credentials and/or licensure
- Participates and attends departmental meetings
- Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program and ARDMS
- Current BLS Certification
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of experience in the healthcare/hospital environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work independently or manage workload
Physical Demands:
- Frequently standing, sitting, walking and lifting medium to 50 lbs
- Occasionally kneeling and crouching
