The OAS Analytics team is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Operations Engineer / Azure Administrator to implement and manage cross-domain, modular, flexible, scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions in the cloud. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain robust Azure infrastructure and compute environments (including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory) supporting advanced analytics and insight generation for healthcare clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams to build quality, security, and operational excellence into data pipelines and cloud infrastructure, transforming complex healthcare data to enable actionable insights.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage high-availability Azure cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and operational performance
  • Implement and manage Azure storage and compute patterns, including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2, Virtual Machines, container environments, and Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Build and manage extensible analytics compute environments with Azure Databricks, enabling direct end-user access and seamless integration with visualization tools like Power BI
  • Enforce Azure governance and security controls, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), security policies, cluster management, and Azure Security Center
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and release management workflows utilizing Terraform for automated deployment and GitHub/Jenkins integration
  • Administer Power BI platform settings, including user access management, data security controls, and performance monitoring
  • Oversee cloud monitoring and cost management using Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, Log Analytics, and open-source monitoring tools
  • Support live cloud products by developing operational readiness tools, defining best practices, and responding to real-time customer-reported incidents and performance events

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology infrastructure, operations, or systems administration
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure administration
  • 3+ years of experience configuring and managing Azure Databricks environments
  • 3+ years of experience managing Azure Data Factory (ADF) solutions
  • 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • 3+ years of experience supporting analytics platform or data infrastructure operations
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with native Azure operational, monitoring, and security tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Security Center, Key Vault)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certification
  • ITIL v3 or higher certification
  • Hands-on experience working across Windows and Unix/Linux server environments
  • Experience with Power BI platform administration
  • Experience in healthcare IT with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or HITRUST and associated security controls
  • Experience integrating cloud infrastructure with disparate enterprise data sources (e.g., Epic, Hadoop, Oracle)
  • Experience migrating legacy on-premise infrastructure and applications to Microsoft Azure cloud
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, design patterns, and enterprise Azure services

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
