We are currently conducting a search for a full-time Clinical Pharmacist to join a growing team of colleagues at our customer site, Southern Ohio Medical Center, to provide outstanding service to patients with complex, specialty diseases to help them achieve improved clinical outcomes.

Pharmacy Location: Located within Southern Ohio Medical Center - Cancer Center in Portsmouth, OH

Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build solid working relationships with clinic staff and physicians
  • Lead medication management in the clinic and drive clinical outcome KPIs, ensuring consistent patient engagement
  • Identify eligible patients for specialty pharmacy services and meet with them upon arrival to demonstrate program benefits while respecting pharmacy choice
  • Conduct clinical follow ups via phone and in person visits to support adherence, resolve issues quickly, and provide 24/7 patient support through shared on call coverage
  • Address clinical questions and triage appropriately; partner with physicians to ensure evidence based therapy selection
  • Participate in leadership and clinic staff meetings to explain and support the CPS model
  • Assist site leadership with recruiting and training Pharmacy Liaisons and Clinical Pharmacists, and support dispensing/administrative/compliance tasks as needed
  • Position will be located within the cancer center and will work closely with the infusion pharmacist to manage oral cancer therapies

Required Qualifications:

  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP)
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Ohio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy residency or Board Certification
  • 1+ years of clinical experience or residency equivalent is preferred, but all candidates will be considered
  • Ambulatory or specialty experience
  • Proficiency in multiple EMR systems such as Cerner, EPIC or Meditech
  • Proficiency with dispensing systems such as Willow Ambulatory, QS1, RX30, Computer Rx, etc. along with experience in pharmacy dispensing

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
