Complex Care Navigatoris responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, delivers excellent customer service. Supports the team in meeting clinical and service goals.Complex Care Navigatorwill be asked, at times, to complete outbound calls to members for survey purposes.

Schedule: 

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM

After Orientation:

  • Option to transition to four 10-hour shifts per week

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet Quality, Productivity and Attendance requirements
  • Making outbound calls to members and provider offices
  • Maintaining accurate documentation
  • Being responsible for any follow-up work needed for resolving and closing issues
  • Identifying and resolving anticipated Provider issues to prevent future calls
  • Maintain proficiency in all technical applications (technical skills and system knowledge)
  • Comply with all current policies, procedures and workflows
  • Collaborate with Care Managers, Hospital Staff, Providers, and Community agencies and organizations to facilitate to services
  • Leads the activities of team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives
  • Participates in internal/external collaborative meetings on Service Needs and discusses barriers to service initiation
  • Effective communication with Care Team members throughout workday via email, TEAMs chat, and telephone to assist in coordination of care
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • 1+ years of experience working within the healthcare Industry or with healthcare insurance
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Intermediate level of computer experience with MS Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents) and Outlook (email and calendar management) and the ability to use multiple web applications, to include preparing and/or format office documentation needed for various audiences
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Must reside within commutable distance to office location at 11019 Canyon Rd E, Puyallup, WA 98373

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of experience working in medical terminology
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and or Medicare population

  • Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines 
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.38 to $36.44 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
