Description and Primary Responsibilities:

The Software/Support Engineer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting a Unified Provider Payment Platform, delivering highly available and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot. This role will work closely with cross‑functional teams to build new features, resolve production issues, and ensure reliable operation of critical payment workflows. The engineer will provide production support, including periodic weekend and on‑call support, to troubleshoot application, performance, and integration issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability improvements. The role requires hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud‑based deployments, and operational monitoring, along with a strong focus on security, compliance, and operational excellence for payment systems. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically strong, and comfortable balancing software development with production support responsibilities in a fast‑paced, enterprise environment.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building scalable backend services
  • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices deployment
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and driving engineering excellence
  • 3+ years of experience with any one of the cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • 3+ years of experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code
  • Willingness to do development and support related work based on business need

Preferred Qualifications and Soft Skills: 

  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts, frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and integration into enterprise applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and driving engineering excellence
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strategic thinking with a problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to mentor and grow engineering talent
  • Strong collaboration and decision-making skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
