This Senior Health Engagement Coordinator/Coach will plan, implement, coordinate and monitor the worksite wellness programs for the employees of Northside Independent School District. The Senior Health Engagement Coordinator/Coach will be responsible for conducting employee surveys to identify health needs, designing customized programs to address employee needs and creating communication materials to promote health education programs and activities, and will measure program outcomes.

The Senior Health Engagement Coordinator/Coach is also responsible for delivering prevention and lifestyle intervention services focusing on nutrition, physical activity, weight management and reduction of risk for chronic disease.  They will also use behavior modification and coaching techniques via one-on-one sessions to high and moderate risk clientele who are NISD employees.

The Senior Health Engagement Coordinator/Coach and Health Engagement Consultant work in tandem to deliver high impact results that incorporates a solutions-oriented engagement process.  This position focuses on engagement and consumerism, in conjunction with UHC products, as well as external vendors.


Travel

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support wellness programming across multiple sites/locations within Bexar County, TX. Occasional Saturday and/or evening weekday hours may be required for wellness events. Office based role


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess employee wellness needs and use health data, screenings, and employee feedback to develop and support targeted health promotion initiatives
  • Deliver and coordinate wellness programs, including health assessments, biometric screenings, disease management services, health fairs, and educational activities
  • Provide one-on-one health coaching to help employees set goals, build healthy habits, track progress, and connect with appropriate resources
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for wellness program participants, ensuring an engaging, supportive, and customer-focused experience
  • Coordinate wellness vendors, partners, and internal committees to support successful program delivery and employee engagement
  • Develop and present health education materials, wellness communications, and group presentations to promote a culture of health
  • Monitor program participation, maintain accurate records and outcomes data, and support reporting and continuous improvement efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in worksite wellness and directly related, health promotion, health event coordination, or related functions
  • 2+ years of experience required in direct education and/or coaching with individuals for disease prevention, health education, or behavior change
  • Experience with program evaluation, both process and outcomes data
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of current health promotion/health behavior theories, practices, health risk and cost relationships, evaluation methods, policies and trends
  • Beginner or Intermediate skills within Office 365 applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate insight into human behavior and can communicate and interact with individuals at varying education levels
  • Demonstrated skill in planning, implementing and coordinating health promotion strategies
  • Demonstrated solid relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and sound decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Flexible, open to new ideas, and willing to take on new responsibilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within assigned territory and Occasional Saturday and/or evening weekday hours for wellness events
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Health Education Specialist or other health licensure (CHES, RD, etc.)
  • Knowledge of health care data 
  • Demonstrated clear and concise written & verbal communication skills; successful virtual presentation experience


Other Conditions

  • Must be able to work unsupervised
  • Position may require some evening and/or weekend hours. This is typically a Monday - Friday work schedule, with flexibility to accommodate a variety of employee schedules


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
