Pharmacists will perform various duties related to the fulfillment of Home Delivery prescription orders. Dispense any or all of the following: Blood pressure, Asthma, some Chemotherapy medications and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. This facility is highly automated. Process, pack and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring drug related supplies and patient collateral (education materials) are included. May also perform drug/supply ordering and inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable product, monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment, fill dispensing units. Pharmacist will monitor and verify all prescription orders upon dosing. Calibrate dosing pumps.


Location: The Home Delivery Fulfillment Pharmacy is located at 5627 University Heights Blvd., Suite 108, San Antonio, TX 78249


Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 3:00pm-11:30pm, and/or additionally on a very occasional basis.


You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and perform final verifications of patients' prescriptions
  • Oversee the activities of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks and customer service advocates
  • Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and Federal pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Support department quality assurance and improvement guidelines
  • Positions in this function perform various duties related to the creation / routing of pharmacy orders through receipt, review and verification of members'/patients' prescriptions. Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data, submit prescription orders in computer system. May contact members/patients/providers to validate data, request payment information and establish priority of order or delivery details As permitted by state regulation, interprets providers' prescriptions and creates order, assesses, inputs and retrieves prescription, medical/lab and reimbursement information from computer system
  • Pharmacists in this function may also act as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) which has additional duties to ensure Pharmacy is in compliance with federal and state regulations, professional standards and internal procedures. HD Ops focuses on interpreting physicians' prescriptions, compounding as necessary, and dispensing medications within regulatory guidelines for a mail-order or online operation. Generally responsible for filling large volumes while maintaining high quality control standards. Contact with client/customer is typically limited and not face to face

Required Qualifications:

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree
  • Current Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Proficient computer skills with pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD
  • 1+ years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Ability to move 30-50lbs


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.00 to $79.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
