This position is Onsite. Our office is located at 6157 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas, Dorris Grifin Senior Center.

This is a part time position (20 hours per week). Employees must be flexible and able to work any 8 hour shift within our regular business hours of 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The schedule follows a rotating pattern: two shifts during the first week and three shifts during the following week.

We offer 1 week of on-the-job training and the hours during training will be 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Center which serves approximately 250 seniors daily
  • Ensures a safe/healthy environment, including cleaning and sanitizing all tables, chairs, restrooms, exercise room and equipment
  • Assist with serving lunch, the setup of activities and events, request supplies and equipment as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18+ years of age OR older
  • Knowledge of basic custodial procedures and ability to complete assigned tasks within work time
  • Ability to comprehend and execute both oral and written directives
  • Ability to lift and pull 60+ pounds 
  • Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 60 pounds of force 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a part-time position (20 hours per week). Employees must be flexible and able to work any 8 hour shift within our regular business hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The schedule follows a rotating pattern: two shifts during the first week and three shifts during the following week.
  • This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 - $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
