Primary Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with physician's offices that deal with complex chronic diseases such as Cancer, Hepatitis C, MS, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn's Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Asthma, and Allergy 
  • Within your assigned territory utilize effective communication via phone, email, fax, and Microsoft Teams, to deliver the OptumRx values
  • Qualify prospects and uncover physician's offices needs in order to influence them to direct prescriptions to our Specialty Pharmacy
  • Present solutions and key benefits of OptumRx to physician's offices
  • Provide exceptional post - sale support to your customers
  • Collaborate with our pharmacy personnel to ensure that your customer's expectations are met
  • Demonstrate persistence, overcome obstacles, and create solutions to improve your skills and achieve your revenue goals.
  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives with key account in your territory.
  • Establish relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturer reps in your territory
  • Utilize Salesforce.com and all OptumRx sales / marketing tools, territory data / reports to successfully grow your book of business and achieve stated goals
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards, comply with all UHG and government policies and regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years sales experience with documented success
  • Moderate proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications 

Preferred Qualification:

  • Specialty pharmacy knowledge or experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $19.00 to $38.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
