About the Facility:Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is a 120-bed hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona, specializing in mental health services and substance use treatment for teens and adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions. 

Pharmacy Hours:Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 6:30am-9:30pm. Saturday and Sunday hours 8am-2pm.

Position Details:This per diem position is intended to provide coverage during a full-time Pharmacy Technician's leave of absence beginning in late November, with the potential to continue on an as-needed (PRN) basis thereafter.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, delivering, and restocking medications to the various units/departments

  • Data / order entry

  • Obtaining the necessary medications to stock the Omnicell machines, including unit-dose packaging of bulk tablets and capsules

  • Performs routine checks for medication outdates

  • Maintains pharmacy cleanliness in accordance with safety and regulatory standards

  • Assist with additional pharmacy duties as needed

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Registered, or the ability to become registered, as a pharmacy technician in the State of Arizona 
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of hospital experience
  • Proven effective communications skills; verbal and written

This per-diem, nonexempt position will provide coverage to cover PTO, weekends and holidays as needed.  There are no regularly scheduled hours for this position.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
