As a per diem, nonexempt Speech Language Pathologist, you are responsible for the administration and direct application of Speech-Language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Duties include evaluating, planning, directing, and treating all patients referred to Speech-Language Pathology. In this role, you will assist patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine "normal" life within the constraints of their disability. This position may also provide coverage at other affiliated locations as needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluation & Diagnosis - Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders and conduct screenings, tests, and evaluations to identify patient needs
- Treatment Planning - Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals and tailor interventions to specific communication or swallowing challenges
- Therapy & Intervention - Provide therapy to improve speech clarity and articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice and fluency and swallowing/feeding function
- Monitor and document patient treatment and response according to current standards and policies
- Assess patient progress with treatment and request re-assessment from Staff OT as per policy. This includes treatment in all patient populations
- Engage patient and family members in the educational process of designed home exercise programs for therapy that identifies and takes into consideration psychosocial, cultural, and ethical/religious special needs for patient and family members
Location: Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio
Schedule: This position will provide coverage on an as needed basis. There are no regularly scheduled hours for this role.
Rehab Department Hours: Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-6:30pm, and Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm. The Rehab Department utilizes Epic.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited college in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Ohio Speech Language Pathologist license in good standing
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualification:
- Recent inpatient acute and outpatient treatment experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $35 - $63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
