Primary Responsibilities: 

  • The Nurse Manager is accountable for the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient patient care of the Infusion Center and Hematology/Oncology Clinic
  • Supervises daily clinical operations of the center and manages the nursing staff in accordance with established Federal, State, and JCAHO/AAAHC regulations and center policies
  • Responsible for clinical and nursing activities including policies and procedures
  • Oversees patient care activities, including the quality improvement, infection control, and safety programs Manages human and budgetary resources to accomplish clinic goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current RN license to practice professional nursing in Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Assoc. 
  • Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Course or Radiation Therapy Certificate Course within three months of employment
  • Completion of Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) within 24 months of employment
  • 7+ years of RN experience
  • 3+ years of oncology experience 
  • 3+ years of progressive supervisory/management experience
  • Ability to use mechanical devices, such as those used in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, oxygen administration, and intravenous pumps
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel and/or cross-cover other KSC Cancer Center locations if needed

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in nursing or a related field
  • Experience with accrediting agencies

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
