Assists Colonial healthcare providers with handling and documenting of each patient's medical chart. Assisting with administrative tasks during patient encounters to enhance efficiency and productivity of the care team and improving patient satisfaction. Ensures accuracy of mapping codes to treatment. Ensures all reports are completed, sent to provider for review and signature then sent to billing.
Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently document patient history, physician exam and all relevant information in the EMR
- Transcribes (min of 25) providers notes and other medical instructions to include the following accuracy: chief complaint, HPI, medication list, vitals, plan of care, documentation lab results, diagnostic studies results, ICD 10 diagnosis codes, CPT codes, orders and outbound referrals
- Coordinating entry of lab orders and mapping as directed by providers
- Tasks completed in a timely manner to be sent for billing and processing
- Clarifies and corrects in coordination with billing department for relevant code changes or billing errors under the direction of the provider
- Submitting to provider when chart is complete and ready for review and sign off
- Serves as a backup scribe across other locations as needed
- Trains new scribes and assists with building out provider templates and Dragon Dictation Mic
- Cross trained to support ad hoc Call Backs & Referrals team

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)/ (Certified Residential medication Aide (CRMA)
- 2+ years of medical techniques/terminology experience
- Specialized in data entry experience
- EMR charting experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail & organizational skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
