The Business Process Analyst reviews assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks. Identifies opportunities to improve process and manages improvement projects for HEDIS, CAHPS and HOS strategic initiatives. Investigates non-standard requests and problems, makes presentations to direct management and completes projects on time and within scope.
This position requires the ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday within our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and completes projects across various functional areas that support Quality campaign initiatives
- Spearheads Project Management initiatives as project assignments and / or identified because of a business process review
- Performs moderately complex business analysis and project management
- Tracks and reports on project status to colleagues and senior management
- Responsible for documentation management (development and revisions) of assigned processes: workflows, policies and procedures, letters, etc.
- Synthesizes data, develops recommendations, and reviews findings with business leadership in a polished and professional manner
- Prepares review documentation including Microsoft Visio process maps
- Manages large and complex Excel files that require experience with VLOOKUP, large dataset management, merging large data, deduping large data sets, and creating and managing pivot tables and graphs
- Position regular creates and maintains large PowerPoint presentations. Position requires an ability to create polished slides and large presentations that can clearly present data points professionally
- Creates a process management system to monitor key performance indicators
- 1Serves as a liaison between Quality and IT to assist and alter business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancements and implementations, even acting as Project Manager where experience is warranted
- Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data to support business decisions and operational performance
- 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry and/or within a large, complex, matrixed organization
- 2+ years of experience leveraging data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for process improvement
- 1+ years of experience supporting HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS, Medicare Star Ratings, or other healthcare quality and performance measurement programs
- Experience developing resource plans, forecasting models, performance metrics, and reporting solutions using data-driven methodologies
- Experience utilizing data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms) to develop dashboards, reports, and actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Experience working independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Advanced to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions, management of large datasets, data cleansing and deduplication, and creation of pivot tables, dashboards, charts, and reports
- Advanced to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to create executive-level presentations that clearly communicate complex data, trends, insights, and recommendations
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to data accuracy, quality, and integrity
- Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information, identify meaningful insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to design, maintain, and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, scorecards, and performance-monitoring tools
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to partner with and consult stakeholders across all levels of the organization to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during standard business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs
- Proven ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience working for a Fortune 500 company

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $29 - $52 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
