You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the analytical lead for assigned Medicaid market(s), partnering with market, clinical, operational, and finance leaders to identify opportunities and address complex business challenges
- Translate ambiguous business questions into actionable analytical approaches, recommendations, and executive-level presentations
- Proactively identify emerging trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities for deeper investigation
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to understand underlying business objectives, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and ensure analytical work aligns with decision-making needs
- Develop clear, concise narratives that connect analytical findings to business impact, strategic priorities, and potential actions
- Interpret and analyze claims, capitation, premium, and membership data, recommending analytical approaches in support of actuarial, financial, utilization, and clinical analyses
- Participate in complex projects from problem definition through implementation, contributing to database creation, statistical modeling, financial reporting, and operational insights
- Perform data validation, root cause analysis, and conceptual investigations to identify drivers of healthcare cost and utilization trends
- Analyze and interpret reporting tools, methodologies, and results utilized by internal business partners and leadership teams
- Communicate statistical findings, methodologies, limitations, and recommendations to management and senior leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner
- Present analytical findings, trend drivers, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations to health plan and senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that support business and clinical decision-making
- Review and provide guidance on data extraction, analytical methodologies, and deliverables developed by other team members to ensure accuracy and quality
- Develop, standardize, and enhance recurring reporting, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to ensure consistent performance monitoring, data integrity, and efficient delivery of insights across Medicaid markets
- Act as a trusted resource to market senior leadership, providing strategic insight and analytical thought partnership on complex business issues

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an analytics capacity and evidence of creative, proactive problem solving
- 2+ years of experience in the healthcare insurance industry with previous exposure to medical claims data
- 1+ year of experience communicating complex information to senior stakeholders
- Intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel including Pivot Tables, Charts and complex functions
- Intermediate level of proficiency with SQL, SAS, or Snowflake
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medicaid managed care experience
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including clinical, operational, network, finance, and market leadership teams
- Familiarity working with large healthcare claims databases
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a passion for understanding not only what is happening in the data, but why it is happening and how insights can drive meaningful business decisions
- Proven ability work independently in ambiguous environments, prioritize competing demands, and drive projects to completion with limited direction
- Proven consultative mindset with the ability to ask thoughtful questions, uncover underlying business needs, challenge assumptions appropriately, and influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations
- Proven ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
