As the Weekend Special LPN, you will perform the functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse in providing patient care to patients in the hospital, for ages 18 through geriatrics.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver and document patient-centered care by performing hands-on nursing tasks, administering medications, collecting assessments, and educating patients and families in alignment with hospital policies and the Patient's Bill of Rights
  • Collaborate and improve care quality through coordination with the DON, therapists, and nursing staff on departmental changes, performance improvement initiatives, and timely reporting of patient condition changes
  • Clinical Competency: Demonstrates proficiency in central line management, ventilator settings, and cardiac monitoring
  • Dietary Oversight: Supervises patient meal accuracy and portion sizes, ensuring timely corrections in coordination with the Registered Dietician
  • Patient & Family Support: Promotes independence and goal achievement through education and preparation for decision-making
  • Wound Care Expertise: Provides direct care and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to manage and monitor wound and ostomy patients, while leading staff education and quality improvement efforts
  • Documentation Leadership: Ensures complete and accurate clinical documentation through collaboration with medical staff, coding teams, and performance analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted licensed as a LPN in the state in which they practice
  • Current ACLS certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
  • ICU experience
  • CCRN/PCCN certification

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $21.70 to $32.55 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
