A typical day for these candidates would be scheduling/seeing patients throughout the day. When the employee is not with a patient, they will be expected to complete basic administrative tasks.

This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends. Our office is located at 275 NEW LANCASTER RD Leominster, MA 01453

We offer 4-6 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform the functions of a Bi-lingual medical interpreter to assist in the communication between Limited English Proficient patients and staff
  • Interpreters are to make medical providers aware of any cultural differences in order for the providers to provide appropriate medical care
  • Confirm patient’s medical appointments prior to the appointment date as requested
  • Manager appointment schedule and initiate accurate documentation of interpretation and provide appropriate paperwork to Interpreter Service office in a timely manner in accordance with the department protocol
  • Assist with Interpreter Service Office administrative tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Bilingual fluency in English / Spanish
  • 60-hour Medical Interpreter certificate 
  • Proficiency in both languages with the ability to read and write
  • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Bilingual medical interpretation experience
  • EPIC experience

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
